On a spit over the bay stands Bibi-Heybat — faithfully rebuilt on its 13th-century original razed in Soviet times: turquoise domes, a mirror-and-gold interior, and the shrine of Sayyida Hakima of the Prophet's house drawing visitors. Its court views bay and harbor with sunset dyeing the domes; visit with its adab — a working mosque and visited shrine, modest dress assumed; ten minutes south of the Boulevard, folding easily into a southern run.
