Essentials: the Prophet's Mosque (prayer therein multiplied a thousandfold), the Rawdah (free timed permits via the Nusuk app), the historic mosques (Quba — Sunnah to visit and pray, Qiblatayn, Ghamama), and the sites of the Sirah: Mount Uhud and its martyrs, Baqi, and the Dhul Hulayfah miqat. Winter is kindest; Ramadan and holidays require very early booking; proximity to the Haram earns its price for those praying all five there.
