Chaoyang Park is located at No. 1 South Nongzhanguan Road in Chaoyang District, and is Beijing's largest public park by area, with a total planned size of about 288.7 hectares, including roughly 67 hectares of water, and a green coverage rate exceeding 87 percent. Construction of the park began in 1984, and it has since grown into one of the city's most important green spaces on the eastern side of Beijing, close to the Central Business District (CBD). The park features canals and small lakes where visitors can go boating, along with walking and jogging paths winding through dense trees, as well as broad grassy lawns used for picnics and light recreational activities. The park is also known for its evening views, when the lights of the nearby skyscrapers reflect on the water's surface, making it a favorite destination for local residents and nearby office workers to unwind after a long day.
