📜 A Brief History of Vienna
Vienna began as a Roman military camp on the Danube, then grew through the Middle Ages under the Babenberg and later Habsburg dynasties into the capital of the Austrian, and later Austro-Hungarian, Empire. The city withstood two Ottoman sieges (1529 and 1683) and later cemented its status as the world capital of classical music, home to Mozart, Beethoven, and Strauss.
