📜 A Brief History of Bursa
Bursa served as the Ottoman Empire's first official capital after Orhan, son of Osman, captured it in 1326, launching the empire's expansion from there. The city thrived on the silk trade along the Silk Road, and is still nicknamed "Green Bursa" for its parks and historic Ottoman mosques.
