A whole city grew north of Doha in one decade: Lusail — its commercial Boulevard of mirrored towers and lit arches now Qatar's first promenade, the yacht marina ring of restaurants, and Al Maha island neighbor with famous winter festivities. The Boulevard at night brings light shows and fountains with promenade coffee as its rite; the giant wheel and seasonal Winter Wonderland serve families; three metro stations cover it — no car needed at all.
