Fuxing Park is located on Fuxing West Road in Huangpu District, within what was once Shanghai's French Concession. It was laid out by the French in 1909 in the classic French garden style and covers about 10 hectares, making it one of the oldest public parks in the city.

The park is notable for its precise geometric design, featuring meticulously trimmed flowerbeds, a central fountain, a small lake, and pathways shaded by large trees. It is also home to a statue of Karl Marx and Friedrich Engels, dating back to an earlier era of modern Chinese history.

Today, the park serves as a daily retreat for nearby residents, where visitors can watch elderly locals practicing tai chi and group dancing in the early morning hours, offering a genuine glimpse into everyday life in Shanghai.
