Sumac opened its Beijing branch at the end of June 2024, an offshoot of the acclaimed Hong Kong restaurant of the same name. It occupies the Liangma Harbour South Building at No. 53 Maizidian Street, Chaoyang District, with a riverside terrace overlooking the Liangma River and a landscaped garden. All the chefs and kitchen staff are Lebanese, serving modern interpretations of traditional dishes such as hummus, muhammara, stuffed grape leaves, fattoush, and moutabal, paired with an extensive wine list that highlights Lebanese labels. Sumac has won several accolades, including "Best Lebanese Restaurant in Asia" and "Best Mediterranean Restaurant" from multiple industry publications, making it one of Beijing's premier destinations for fine Lebanese dining.
