Soloist Coffee Co. opened its Sanlitun branch inside Taikoo Li South in January 2017, following the success of its original Dashilar location near Tiananmen and a second branch in the CBD. Seating around 50, the café has a distinctly vintage look, mixing aged filing cabinets, old townhouse doors, and antique maps of Beijing on the walls, giving it a cozy, church-like character despite sitting inside one of the city's most upscale malls.
The café is known for its carefully brewed coffee, with standouts including hand-poured Ethiopia Yirgacheffe Idido, along with espresso and cappuccino, Western-style breakfast plates, fresh fig salad, and a range of sandwiches. Thanks to its central spot inside Taikoo Li South, it's a convenient break between shopping. It's open daily from 10am to 10pm.
