Travellers coming from other cities in the north of the Kingdom, such as Tabuk, may find somewhat higher fares (sometimes SAR 600–900) given the limited direct flights between the two.

Within Jazan city, ride-hailing apps are available and a practical way to move between nearby sights like the corniche and the Heritage Village. But for farther destinations like the Fayfa and Al-Dayer mountains, renting a car is recommended, with prices starting around SAR 120 a day for an economy car, rising to SAR 200–280 for larger vehicles suited to winding mountain roads.

A cost item unique to Jazan is reaching the Farasan Islands: the government ferry from Jazan port to Farasan Al-Kabir is entirely free, an advantage that makes Jazan more affordable than other island destinations in the region — but book a seat ahead, since demand is high. If you want to reach the smaller islands, like Qummah and Sajid, you'll need a private boat, with costs varying considerably by distance, passenger count, and trip length — roughly SAR 200–500 for the day if you hire the boat alone or share it with a small group.

For lodging, three-star hotels run SAR 200–350 a night, four-star hotels SAR 350–550, with prices slightly higher on Farasan Al-Kabir itself given the more limited options compared to Jazan city. If you're planning to stay overnight on Farasan, book ahead, since room numbers there are very limited.
