Founded as a waqf village before Bursa itself fell — seven hundred unbroken years, 270 painted timber houses on horse-width cobbles, still lived in by descendants: living UNESCO that cooks and hosts. The famous village breakfast is the visit's obligation (courtyard tables of village cheeses, berry jams, hot gözleme, endless tea) — weekday mornings, pick a tree-shaded yard, then climb the lanes and buy dried mulberries from the doorstep grandmothers.
