Lianhuashan Park (莲花山公园), literally "Lotus Hill Park," opened in 1997 at No. 6030 Hongli Road in Futian District. At its center is a natural hill, reached by tree-shaded paths leading up to an open plaza at the summit.

At the top stands a large bronze statue of Deng Xiaoping, the leader widely credited with founding China's special economic zones, including Shenzhen. The statue was erected in 2000 and has become one of the city's most photographed landmarks.

From the summit plaza, visitors get a panoramic view over the towers of the Futian financial district and Shenzhen's modern skyline, making the park a popular spot for sunset views and photography. Its wide plaza is also a favorite gathering spot for kite flying on weekends.
